My wife and I have an agreement to not buy gifts for Christmas, birthdays, Valentines day,etc.

Several years ago Aimsurplus had a sale on AK Wasrs, 200+ something bucks...
I ordered one, got my FFL guy on this end lined up then waited....

About a week later I get the call from my FFL.
Yeah, it was Valentines day.

"Where are you going Dear?"..."uhhh into town for a little sometime at the hardware store...sweetie" I was just joking around.

Imagine her surprise when I returned with an AK...."HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!" ....there was a slight chill in the room.
"You know they're built for WOMEN and kids?"

BAD TIMING...

She had forgotten that I told her about this purchase last week....ah well.

Sounds like you need to work a little on your "sneak a new gun into the house" routine. Get it inside, stash it in a closet/garage/wherever. Should she notice it sometime down the road, "Oh, that old thing?...I've had it for a few years.":yes:

Yeah, I've got 2 rifles in a closet that I am supposed to take over to a friends house one of these days and "return" them (supposedly borrowed them last year). He also has one or two sitting at the gunshop waiting for pickup.

I just carry mine in the house and say "look what I just got!"

No sneaking, she always get a heads up about any purchases and she's shot the AK a few times, but her favorite is a Ruger 10/22.

I tried sending you an email thru GIM, but I don't think it went thru

Also I apologize to anybody else who sent me emails thru GIM, just can't make a reply happen.

My Stepdad bought a new .380 auto one time, and told my Mom He won it in a raffle at work. "The raffle ticket was only $10.00 Honey!" I almost burst out laughing when my Mom told me "Look what Pops won in a raffle at work"! I looked at my Dad with that "You owe me a big one now" look! LOL!
